'State of Illusion' Competitive Squad
This squad is comprised of members from Lasher, International Academy and Andover High Schools. Participation is by audition. Performances are in the form of competitions and are scheduled from mid-January through early April. We are members of the Michigan Color Guard Circuit (MCGC) of Winter Guard International (WGI).

Circuit Silver Medalists!
On April 2, 2011 'State of Illusion' Winterguard Team capped off their season by bringing home the silver medal at circuit championships. Performing their 2011 show, 'Oceano', they competed against teams from across the state of Michigan, as well as Canada. Congratulations on a fantastic season!

Congratulations to the members of 'State of Illusion' winterguard for their 1st place finish this past Saturday! Next competition is Saturday, March 3rd at Novi High School. Performance time is 6:14PM. Call time for team members is 4:15PM.
2nd Competition Feb. 19th
We will once again compete at West Bloomfield High School. This will be the first competition for us to premier our full show! We will be performing at 5:23PM. Call time for team members will be 3:30PM. Come on out and cheer us on!
Excellent Showing at West Bloomfield Competition!
State of Illusion had a strong showing this weekend as they 'took to the tarp' for the first time this season for scored competition. They finished 5th out of a field of 12 units in a very tight race. Congratulations on a job well done!

State of Illusion will 'take to the tarp' this weekend in their first scored competition of the season. Venue is West Bloomfield High School on Orchard Lake Road. Our performance time is 3:40PM. Call time for team members is 2:00PM.
Field Day January 15, 2011
Congratulations to the team on their strong performance this past weekend for Field Day. This is a non-scored event and gives us all a chance to get valuable feedback from a panel of judges. We received excellent comments and should be on our way to a wonderful season!

2010 Team members earn Varsity Letters
8 State of Illusion team members were presented with their varsity letters at the end-of-season banquet on May 28, 2010. Those earning letters were: Audrey Fotouhi, Victoria Weber, Bridget Sanders, Mary Catherine Moeller, Katy Gwizdala, William Weber, Madi Kramer and Ava Tavrazich. Congratulations on a job well done!

State of Illusion competed in the MCGC Championship Competition on Saturday, March 27. Facing competition from across Michigan, Ohio and Canada, here's how we finished:

On Sunday, March 14 State of Illusion Winter Guard took home 1st Place honors! Congratulations!
2 Members in Individuals Competition
On Saturday, February 27, Mary Catherine Moeller and Madi Kramer took to the tarp in Individual Competition at Novi High School. Both ladies had excellent scores and were very well received by judges, spectators and fellow competitors! Way to go, Mary Catherine and Madi!
Alias/AKA Contest in Troy, MI 2/28/10
Congratulations to State of Illusion for their 1st place finish at the Alias/AKA contest this past weekend!
Exit 52 Contest 2010, Saturday, Jan. 30 in Lowell, MI
The team made and excellent showing in their first scored event on Saturday. The finished in 3rd place, being inched out of second by less than 1 point! Way to go, Guard!
Field Day recap!
State of Illusion had their first public performance on Saturday, January 16 at the MCGC Field Day. They did an awesome job! The program was very well-received by both the judges and audience members. We look forward to implementing the information provided by the judges and 'rockin' the house' in Lowell on the 30th!
